2 - Proposal Process

If you’re ready to move forward after your initial consultation, we’ll then put together a bespoke proposal outlining what we could do to help your website punch above its weight online. 4 - Set-Up Month

More often than not, we begin with a set-up month to allow your Account Manager to gather all of the required information, account details and conduct the relevant audits that will inform your strategy moving forward. This ensures smooth sailing and helps us to hit the ground running when your campaign formally begins.

5 - Campaign Begins

Once we have everything we need and a strategy (approved by you) in place, we’ll start working on your campaign in monthly sprints. At the start of each new month, you’ll receive a performance report and updates on what’s happening with your campaign. We’ll also be in touch throughout the month – at your preferred frequency – with updates and documents for approval.

6 - Ongoing Growth

At Wildcat, we don’t just stick to your initial strategy and hope for the best. We regularly review and update your strategy based on performance and what your monthly reports are telling us, until we reach your goal. Then we work to maintain or improve that performance, or start looking at new ways that we can add value to your campaign.

Helping You to Crack the Code

We understand that with an unfamiliar industry comes unfamiliar terminology and concepts. Hopefully, our FAQs below will help you to gain a better understanding of SEO and some of the jargon that you might come across.

What Does SEO Mean?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. It is the process of editing and optimising web pages and metadata with the aim of improving a website’s search engine rankings and general visibility. This is based on a number of key ranking factors, SEO best practices, innovation and, in some cases, trial and error. A good SEO strategy will, over time, improve search engine rankings, drive traffic to the website, and may have an impact on conversions.

Who Needs SEO?

SEO is for any business with a website. Whether you’re a young startup, or an experienced MNE, SEO can help your business to climb the ranks of search engines, stand out from the competition, and be noticed by your target audience. Some may see it as an unnecessary expense, but if you want to help your business punch above its weight online, and start gaining more traffic to your website, strong SEO is needed.

At Wildcat Digital, our team of SEO experts can help whip your site into shape with Technical SEO, Content SEO, Link Building and more, helping to gain more visitors and conversions, whatever your goals are.

How Does SEO Work?

SEO is the process of strategically optimising web pages and metadata with the aim of improving search engine rankings which, in turn, typically improves traffic to your website and has the potential to impact conversions. SEO experts use a number of key ranking factors, alongside best practices and innovative tricks to try to influence your website’s rankings.

Search engine ranking factors include:

  • Does your website contain high-quality content?
  • Are pages optimised for SEO?
  • Is your website optimised for mobile devices?
  • What is the general user experience (UX) and page experience like?
  • How quickly do pages load?
  • Does your website have internal linking?
  • Does your website have external linking to reputable, informative sources?

How Long Does it Take For SEO to Work?

SEO is not a quick-fix;  it can take anywhere from 6-12 months for SEO to begin yielding results. It takes time to build up the authority of your website, and optimise your pages for SEO. However, this timeframe can depend on the niche of your business, your competitive landscape, and a number of other external factors that influence rankings.

Is SEO Worth It?

SEO is absolutely worth it if your goal is to improve your brand’s visibility, drive traffic towards your website, and increase your conversions. However, SEO does not offer instant results and, as such, it can sometimes feel as if the process and the price is not worth it. But, with the right team behind you and a bit of time, SEO can have a huge impact on your businesses, and can even prove to be more successful than some traditional marketing efforts.

Why Isn’t My Website Ranking on Google?

There are a number of reasons why your website isn’t ranking on Google, but one of the most important factors to consider is whether or not Google even knows that your website exists (is it indexed?), and if it can be crawled.

But, if your website is properly indexed and can be crawled then another factor may be responsible;

  • Technical issues with your website
  • Internal and external linking issues
  • Content and keyword issues

At Wildcat Digital, one of the first things we do for a new SEO account is to conduct specialist SEO audits that give us an overview of the health of your website. If your website isn’t currently ranking very well, these audits tell us why and help us to build a roadmap to success.

What are SEO Keywords?

Keywords are words and phrases that directly relate to what your website, or a specific page of your website, is about, and are the words typically used by search engine users when searching a query related to that topic.

For example, you might have a page on your website about a service you offer (let’s say carpet cleaning). On this page, you’ll need to use specific keywords and phrases that you know potential customers are searching for in relation to carpet cleaning in order to rank for that topic.

We understand that It can be difficult to know which keywords to use (and where to use them!), but our SEO experts at Wildcat Digital can help to recommend a set of appropriate keywords for your website, and our team of content specialists can then optimise your website for these keywords, helping to encourage an improvement in rankings over time.

How Much Does SEO Cost?

SEO agencies typically work on retainer, with an initial one-off set-up fee. How much this retainer is will vary from business to business, but many, including Wildcat Digital, offer a tiered system to help suit a range of budgets.

The retainer usually determines the number of hours per month that the agency will work on your account, and may also influence other SEO factors, such as how many keywords can be chosen for tracking.

If you’re interested in SEO services at Wildcat Digital, get in touch with us today, and we’ll arrange a call to discuss your business, your website, and your goals. If you’re still interested, we’ll then put together a tailored proposal for you to consider, including our prices.

Do Small Businesses Need SEO?

Local SEO is incredibly beneficial for small businesses, helping to boost your online profile in the areas that you operate. Crucially, it can also increase leads and conversions.

Does SEO Guarantee Rankings?

SEO cannot guarantee rankings for your website. However, a solid strategy along with help from an expert SEO specialist can place your website in the best possible chance to rank on SERPs. This plan should include keyword research and mapping, quality content and technical tasks.

How Can I Rank Better in My Local Area?

How Can SEO Help Your Business?

SEO has a number of fantastic benefits for your business and, over time, can help you to achieve significant growth. These benefits include:

  • SEO improves your authority, trustworthiness and credibility. High ranking websites tend to be trusted over those that rank lower down, and usually offer more relevant content to the search query
  • SEO gives you a competitive advantage; being on the first page of search results means that your customers are more like to use your website over a lower ranking competitor
  • Local SEO tactics can help to give your business a boost in your region, especially if your mobile site is optimised – almost 80% of searches on mobile lead to conversions!
  • Good SEO has a positive impact on user experience, which can have a knock on effect on impacting conversions and repeat custom

How is Local SEO Different from SEO?

Nationally focussed SEO campaigns don’t typically include locations or other geographical factors in keywords unlike Local SEO campaigns. For example:

  • National keyword: SEO Agency
  • Local keyword: SEO Agency Sheffield

National campaigns may include elements of Local SEO, such as Google Business Profile, Map Packs, and website location pages but the key difference is that they aren’t specifically targeting a given location.

How Long Does Technical SEO Take?

SEO is not a  quick fix. It’s an investment and can take anywhere from 3-12 months to start showing results. There are a number of Technical SEO tasks that do offer quick fixes in terms of user experience and rankings, but some tasks may take longer to have an impact on rankings.

If I Write Blogs Myself Do I Need an SEO Agency?

If you write blogs yourself it’s still recommended to hire an SEO agency that can create a strong strategy and properly optimise your content. SEO agencies will also ensure good user experience and check that technical health of your website is in order so that you don’t get penalised by search engines and hurt your site’s ranking ability.

Is AI content bad for SEO?

No. Google states that it does not care how content is generated, but rather on the quality of the content, and how it measures up against their E-E-A-T guidelines. Of course, if you’re churning out one AI article after another, without fact-checking or proofreading first, then it is likely that you’ll get penalised. However, if you do review and add your own touch to AI-generated content, then it is likely that your content will be beneficial to users and therefore benefit your website rankings.
